Al Nayi for Informational and Communicational Consulting co. “Naitel” has announced obtaining the approval from the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission to kick off the first of its kind Internet Exchange (“IX”) Hub in Jordan in the coastal city of Aqaba. The company; which has established its headquarters in Aqaba as a base for its operations throughout the Kingdom, aims to expand its investments throughout the telecommunications industry with a focus on setting a world-renowned infrastructure and surrounding eco-system, that will contribute in transforming Jordan as a whole and Aqaba in particular into a digital regional Internet Exchange Hub.
According to Naitel representatives, this approval will directly contribute to the development of the information technology infrastructure in Jordan while aiming to internationally promote Jordan and the coastal city of Aqaba to perform as an attractive destination for advanced technology investments. This step will also set the Kingdom under the spotlight for all international hi-tech companies looking for the best investment opportunities in the region to consider Jordan as a main provider.
